Why brokers keep calling back

A small carrier is not a compromise. It is the whole advantage.

Large fleets move your freight through four departments before a wheel turns. Here, the person who books the load is accountable for delivering it — and picks up the phone at 4 a.m. if you need an update.

  • One point of contact. From rate confirmation to signed POD, you talk to the same person.
  • Check calls that actually happen. Loaded, en route, delayed, delivered — updates before you have to ask.
  • Paperwork the same day. Signed BOL and POD sent by email within hours of delivery, not next week.
  • No double brokering. Ever. The load you assign us is the load our truck picks up.

Insurance on file

Auto liability and cargo coverage filed and current with the FMCSA. Certificates of insurance are issued to your company on request, usually the same business day.

Carrier packet ready

W-9, authority letter, COI and signed carrier agreement are packaged and ready to send — so onboarding never becomes the reason a load sits.

ELD compliant

Electronic logging in place, hours of service managed honestly. When we quote a transit time, it is a time the driver can legally and safely run.

Where we run

Midwest core. Northeast and Southeast on demand.

Our home base in Columbus puts most of the country's manufacturing and distribution corridors within a single day's drive. We run regional lanes out of Ohio every week and take over-the-road runs across the eastern two-thirds of the country.

  • Core lanes: OH · MI · IN · IL · KY · PA · WV
  • Regular OTR: Northeast corridor, Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri
  • By arrangement: anywhere in the lower 48 with adequate lead time

How it works

From rate request to signed POD

Four steps, no bureaucracy. Most shippers have a rate back before they finish their coffee.

01

Send the load

Origin, destination, commodity, weight and pickup window. Email, phone or the form on this site — whatever is fastest for you.

02

Get a firm rate

An all-in quote back, typically within the hour during business hours. What we quote is what we invoice.

03

We roll

Rate confirmation signed, truck dispatched, and you get updates at pickup, in transit and at delivery.

04

Paperwork, fast

Signed BOL and POD emailed the same day the load delivers. Clean documents, clean billing, no chasing.

The standard we hold ourselves to is simple: if the truck is going to be late, you hear it from us first — and you hear it early enough to do something about it. That single habit is why shippers come back.

Questions we get before the first load

Are you a carrier or a broker?
We are an asset-based motor carrier. We hold active for-hire interstate authority under USDOT 3946117 / MC-1467044 and haul the freight on our own equipment with our own driver. We do not broker or re-broker loads.
What kind of freight do you take?
General commodities in dry van equipment — palletized goods, packaged products, building and industrial materials. We do not haul hazardous materials or household goods. If you are unsure whether your commodity fits, call and ask; we will give you a straight answer rather than accepting a load we should not.
How fast can you cover a load?
On regional Midwest lanes we can frequently pick up same-day or next-morning. For longer OTR runs, give us the pickup window and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it — we would rather turn a load down than fail it.
Can you send a carrier packet and certificate of insurance?
Yes. W-9, operating authority, certificate of insurance and a signed carrier agreement go out on request, normally the same business day. Send your onboarding documents to owner@sultantrucking.com.
What are your payment terms?
Standard broker terms on receipt of a clean invoice packet, with quick-pay accepted where offered. Our documents go out the day of delivery, so billing disputes are rare.
How do we verify your authority?
Look up USDOT 3946117 on the FMCSA SAFER system, or MC-1467044 in the FMCSA Licensing & Insurance database. Both show our operating status, authority type and insurance filings directly from the federal record.

Have freight that needs to move?

Send us the lane and the pickup window. You will have a firm, all-in rate back — usually within the hour.
